Our Curriculum

Creative Curriculum

The Keys to Learning childcare uses the Creative Curriculum where child development theory and scientifically based research are the foundation.  Knowing how each child learns along with choosing the appropriate materials to guide learning is the foundation for the lesson planning process. Creative curriculum enhances social/ emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.

Physical Development

  • A child’s physical development is an important part of their development as a whole! It's Important to promote physical development while in the early stages of life so our children can successfully perform everyday tasks.

  • We promote physical development with classroom jobs, arts and crafts and of course outside time!

Cognitive and Language Development

Cognitive development in children from ages 0-5 focuses on the development of the thinking process. Our curriculum promotes this with the use of Story time, questions of the day, and small group activities that encourage critical thinking skills!

Free Play

Free play allows our children to develop social skills, play skills, and creates an environment that enhances decision making skills. The benefits of free play are endless, the freedom of choice time builds imagination. Allowing a child to play alone encourages them to create, develop motor skills, and most importantly it allows them to experiment.
